Multimedia University (MMU) Entry Requirements
MMU Requirements for Undergraduate Students
(1) A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent in the Computing field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate.
(2) A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent in a related field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate; can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
(3) A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate, not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 in a related field, can be accepted.
MMU Requirements For Postgraduate Students
(1) A Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate; or
(2) A Master’s degree or equivalent in a non-related field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate, and evidence of at least two (2) years of relevant working or research experience.
(3) Other academic qualifications equivalent to (1) or (2) that the Senate accepts.
(4) A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.67 or equivalent in a related field from MMU.

Some Important Notes:
- For coursework, students must pay at least 40% of the semester fee before the semester begins.
- For the ODL Program in Certificate, that will be written MQA.
- For the Foundation Program, IELTS 4is needed.
- Those who are studying in SPM in Malaysia don’t need any IELTS for the foundation program.
- For accommodation, students can stay on campus only 1st semester, the cost will be RM 250-RM 350.
- After the foundation program is completed in this university, and then join the bachelor program, they get 10% scholarships. After admission, if a student’s CGPA continuously gets 3.50, they get 50%-100% scholarships.

1. What is MMU Achievers Research Scholarship?
Ans: MMU Achievers Research Scholarship is a scholarship offered to students who complete a Bachelor’s Degree, Master by Coursework or Mixed-Mode and Master by Research with below criteria.

Ans: Yes, you can only apply for this scholarship after getting the offer letter but before accepting/enrolling at MMU.

Ans: This application is open throughout the year. All applicants will undergo an interview and the interview will be scheduled on the 2 nd week of the following month after the application.
4. How do I know if I am eligible to apply for this scholarship?
Ans: Meeting the criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship. In addition, you should meet all entry and language requirements for your chosen programme. 6. Is it only open for Malaysians?
Ans: This scholarship is open to both Malaysian and International applicants.
7. What are the programmes eligible for this scholarship?
Ans: The successful candidates are eligible to enroll for full-time Master’s and Ph.D. degree programmes by research only.
8. What are the fees that will be covered for this scholarship?
Ans: This scholarship covers admission fee, programme fee, student development fee, subject fees and thesis examination fee within the duration of Scholarship. Re-take subjects are self-financed.
9. What is the duration of this scholarship?
Ans: Duration of scholarship is limited to two (2) years for Master’s and three (3) years for Ph.D. programmes respectively. No extension of the scholarship will be allowed.
10. Can I apply for this scholarship if I am already studying at this university?
Ans: This scholarship is only open to candidates who have received an offer letter but yet to register into the university.
11. Is it compulsory to study in the full-time mode of study?
Ans: Yes. Additionally, international students must not hold a Malaysian working pass to be eligible.
12. How do I know if my application is successful?
Ans: The scholarship is awarded based on the outcome of the interview. If your application is successful, then you will receive a scholarship offer letter by IPS through the registered email in your application form. Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of the Scholarship offer within 1 month and register for the PG programme within 2 months from the issuance date of the scholarship offer letter, failing which the scholarship offer will automatically lapse.
